Projects
Across instrument development, research infrastructure, and pharmaceutical analysis, my work centers on automating manual work to generate more data and revenue.
Quadrufy Inc.
Our nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) spectrometer was designed for full autonomy. The system integrates eight spectrometers operating in parallel with a robotic autosampler, enabling continuous high-throughput analysis. The system integrates RF electronics, robotics, control software, and cloud-connected data systems to create a turnkey instrument for pharmaceutical analysis.
University of Ottawa
I modernized the uOttawa NMR Core Facility while serving hundreds of researchers. I redesigned and automated workflows to increase instrument throughput and accessibility. After compressing admin work from ~3 weeks/month to ~2 hours/month, I improved operational resilience by writing SOPs, training users and staff, and growing the external user base 5×. Recognized as Safety Leader.
AstraZeneca & University of Warwick
I led an AstraZeneca–University of Warwick project to automate the characterization of pharmaceuticals using solid-state NMR and computational modelling. The automation reduced calculation and analysis times from weeks to single clicks. Delivered multiple peer-reviewed publications and training programs. Awarded “Outstanding” by the national KTP panel.
